Hip to Hip and Elevate

Attacking Player:

  • Position: Standing with one arm connected to your partner’s torso inside their arm (underhook) with your other arm free.
  • Objective: Maintain your underhook and create hip to hip contact and lift your partner’s feet off of the ground.
  • Constraints: No takedowns. Only elevate your partner.
  • Win Condition: Your partner is disconnected from the ground.

Defending Player:

  • Position: Standing with your partner’s arm connected to your torso inside your arm with your same side arm hooked around their arm so that your hand is near their armpit.
  • Objective: Deny your partner access to inside space and hip to hip contact and lift your partner’s feet off the ground.
  • Constraints: No takedowns. Only elevate your partner.
  • Win Condition: Your partner is disconnected from the ground.
