Representative Practice Assessment Tool

This tool can be used to evaluate the representativeness of a specific practice exercise or scenario. There is no "standard", and the total score matters less than identifying areas where representativeness can be improved.

Keep in mind that maximum representativeness is not always the goal, and in some situations it is practical for representativeness to be lower.

This calculator is based on the work of Krause et al.

1: Does the goal detail a specific purpose?
2: Is the information used for control like what is used in a game?
3: Does the task require the player to make decisions?
4: Does the task require the player to adapt their intentions?
5: Does the task require the player to adapt their movement solution?
6: Does the task provide an appropriate level of challenge for the player?
7: Are the task dynamics (e.g. timing, force) like what is required in the game?
8: Does the task induce pressure / emotional reaction in the player?
